What is the time required for one complete vibration of an ultrasonic stethoscope that operates at a frequency of 9.0 MHz.
Please show the steps so I can get a complete understanding of the problem. Thanks.
time=1/frequency
which means the the time for one cycle is the inverse of the frequency.
you can see it in the units 1 Hertz= 1/s
and time is in s
Therefore
time=1/9x10^6=1x10-7s
remember MHz is MegaHertz = 1x10^6

How to make Skullcandy Earbuds not make thumping noise when they hit stuff?
I have Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds. They sound great and all but whenever they hit someone they make this really loud thumping noise, like a stethoscope. Even if they lightly tap something they will still make a very noticeable rustling noise. So, I squeezed one of the wires tightly and then tapped it and no more noise! Since I'm not going to squeeze the wires while I'm listening, I tried wrapping tape around the wires to stop the vibration a bit, but to no avail. So, if anyone else has any tips now would be a good time to share.
