Why do I have to pay Michigan this National Medical Support fee?
I am an active duty U. S. Marine. I pay child support through the Friend Of the Court (FOC) in Michigan. My question concerns the charges that the FOC require me to pay. As an active duty Military member my family is automatically covered from medical care and I have a supplement that I pay for to cover any not covered medical expenses. The state of Michigan is making me pay $81.54 for medical support. I have always maintained medical coverage for my kids. Why do I have to pay Michigan this fee?
The law is hard but it is the law and you have to pay.
