Why do doctors do this?
I'm a nurse and I go into a patients room and make a full and complete assessment. I check they lungs, heart, skin, bowels, and everything in between. Of course, if they have a specific problem, I zone in on that.
then the doc comes in, stetoscope around his neck; doesn't even use it, shakes the patients hands, talks for 3 minutes, and then leaves. no assessment, nothing! i just don't get it!!!!! what are they getting paid to do? why don't they do it?
I work in a medical insurance company & I get complaints from patients all the time about the little time the dr spends with them.
Nurses are very underestimated. They have to do all this medical stuff all the while keeping a great bedside manner. And they don't get paid nearly as much as they should.
On the plus side, if you mess up the dr will get sued, not you.

Any time from 4 weeks, the heart starts beating in unborn children between 4-8 weeks depending on the childs developement. ( both of mine started their hearts beating around the 4wk mark)
