Had my second prenatal exam today.?
Once I get into the office I feel like I loose thoughts. I have a bunch of questions to ask then I forget when I am with my doctor. She basically read my lab results. Then she did an ultrasound but this time she placed the instrument on my tummy. I saw the baby and the heartbeat beating very fast again. She said everything looks good. But once again she didn't mention hcg levels. If there was a problem would she have stated it. This is my 12week appointment and has the miscarriage rate gone down now?
My doctor has never discussed hcg levels with me either. You saw your baby and the heartbeat is strong....congrats!! Your chance of miscarriage goes down dramatically once you are out of your first trimester. To be honest, there is so much information out there now that I don't really ask my doctor a lot of questions. But if you are having trouble remembering, write them down as you think of them. My wife is 22 weeks pregnant and visited doctor recently. Some query on that. Please help
My wife visited doctor for her prenatal routine check up she has completed 5 months. Doctor put some gel on her abdomen and kept on moving some instrument on abdomen and doctor was watching a small screen while moving the instrument. Doctor asked my wife if she could feel the fetal movements when she was moving the instrument. My wife could feel the movements very nicely then. Doctor told baby was doing fine and gave for ultrasound scan , which we have scheduled for this weekend. I want to know what test the doctor conducted ? Is it not the ultrasound scan? Doctor also checked my wife's weight and she had gained only 1 kg this month, last week before going to doctor she had gained 2 kgs but she had lost 1 kg in that week . Is this normal? Her BP was 110/70 is this also normal?
that was an ultrasound but the one that you are going to get this weekend is most likely a 3D ultrasound. and losing a Kg or so is ok and the BP is great so do not worry about a thing
