28 weeks and our baby is feet first!?
I am 28 weeks pregnant today and this past weekend my best friend (who is an ultrasound tech) gave us a complimentary ultrasound 
The bad news is that the baby is feet down, back facing up..so he's looking at my spine. She said, to be honest with me, that chances are he won't flip...since he needs to make such a big flip to be head down and not just a tiny one. Moms and doctors, and nurses...just looking for some opinions....what are the chances he'll flip...I am okay with a C-section but would prefer a vaginal delivery...we'll see...just looking for some opinions....Thanks!
He has plenty of time to flip - - it doesn't matter how "big" of a flip it is, just the room. Spend some time on your hands and knees if you're really concerned (a lot of docs think this help the baby to get in position). My first was feet first at 38 weeks and still made the turn. You never know what can happen and I was always told babies don't really get into position until 32 weeks or so.

Anyone a nurse? Ovary question?
I had a pelvic ultrasound b/c of an enlarged ovary. The ovary had holes in it, and the tech (who I know couldnt diagnose anything ofcourse) said the holes were from the releasing of eggs. Do these holes occur in Normal ovaries?? ... because I hear about them for PCOS, but not in normal ovaries. If I remember right, they were all the same size. And my doctor when she ran tests said my levels came back good and figures I am ovulating. But the image in my head of these holes is freaking me out. I have No other signs relevant to PCOS. I'm pretty thin, etc etc. Can someone please tell me if it can happen in normal ovaries, for there to be holes seen in an ultrasound? I switched doctors and never got the results. Just the bill, lol.
Thank You David!! I am TTC, and like I said, my new doctor ran tests and everything came back normal, but that image in my head was killing me! Perhaps I am on too many TTC sites, and with hearing so much about PCOS I got scared! Thank you!!
Yes it's completely normal for the surface of a healthy ovary to appear wrinkled and even cratered. When the egg produced in the folicle of the ovary pushes to the surface of the ovary then releases the egg it leaves a hole.This is perfectly normal and healthy it shows that you ovary is doing it's job.
Forgive me I meant to add... what you heard regarding the holes in the ovaries related to PCOS is known as ovarian diathermy and the holes are not formed organically in the ovaries rather are placed there by the surgeon. This can help to stimulate ovum (egg) production.

I would definitely be either a rad-tech or the lpn. The phlebotomy jobs are a dime a dozen and don't pay very well. Rad-techs make decent money and the jobs are usually easy to find. Or you can become an lpn, work for a year or two, then go for another year or so and be an rn. An lpn makes more than any phlebotomist, and you can move into the rn field easier and make serious money.
