why havn't gyno's updated there tools?
I just went to my first gyno appointment like a month ago
were in 2007 you think they would make something alittle more comfortable then a stainless steel speculum on females when doing a check up. I could think of a billion other differnt more comfortable materials that could be used for that purpose during an exam which would be so extreamly uncomfortable.
anyone agree o rhave a reason on why they still do that?
Most of them have... they now have plastic speculums. I would probably consider changing my doctor, unless you really like the one you have. Hope this helps.

Clear-ish, gummy, clump of goo fell out of my vagina!?
What could this be!? I have been OFF of my period for 2 weeks. I had a pap smear on Tuesday, today is Friday. Do you think it was maybe some of the gooey lube stuff that the gyno uses? Wouldn't it have fallen out long ago? I haven't skipped my period at all, but I hear about women being pregnant and not knowing.. could I have had a miscarriage??! I have had slight pains in my lower abdomen ever since my pap smear (3 days ago), but I assumed it was because I'm kind of little "down there" and they use pretty big and uncomfortable tools. The clump was bigger than a quarter!
My gyno ran a routine pregnancy check and it was negative. So I guess the idea of a miscarriage is out the door. What else could it have been!?
Well i don't think it was a miscarriage unless the clump was followed by a BUNCH of blood. Also calm down that kinda of stuff is normal...
