Am hearing my babies heart beat?
i am 18 weeks pregnant and when i place my stethoscope on my lower belly usually toward the right side i can hear a swooshing sound..the same you hear when you get an ultra sound or such of the babies heart beat...could this be my babies heart beat or do you think its just mine?
the swooshing sound is the sound of the baby moving around in your tummy, the heart beat sounds like a galloping horse, swooshing is movements!
And at 18 weeks the baby has lots of room to move around in so thats probably what your hearing! cool huh! x

Why does???

it is supposed to say why does a doctor!!!!!
The Dr can hear different sounds depending on what he is listening to. For example, central chest is the heart sounds. When listening to the lungs he will check all over the lung to detect any loss of air entry or sounds which may indicate infection in certain areas.
