Can you hear baby's heartbeat with a stethoscope?
Just wondering if you needed a doppler or if a stethoscope would work and also how far along do you need to be with a stethoscope? Thanks for the answers.
yes, but it's hard... I got a fetal heart beat monitor from babies R US it only cost bout $20 and you can also hear burps, hiccups, kicks, & punches with it... The fetal monitor is alot better 2 have then an ordinary stethoscope... Hope this helps

Thinking of purchasing an electronic stethoscope. Can I use this to get an ABI with this or must I use doppler?
You'll need a doppler. The contours of the foot & ankle make it difficult for a person to get a good signal with a 'scope.
