Who is more likely to be right?

I went to the doc. 3 days ago to check for obstruction, and he used his stethoscope and hands to check my abdomen. But he was skeptical I had a bowel obstruction yet I feel the symptoms especially constipation. Could it be that he was wrong? Could it be that I became blocked days later (I feel a little pain now too...I think)? Could it be that I'm just a hyperchondriac? If there's a doc. in the house your comments, if possible, please.

ok... I don't understand what the "nurse" up there just said, but...she is kinda right and wrong. All constipation is a "block", but not all "blocks" are constipation. Constipations main cause is dehydration. So drink lots of water (atleast 64 ounces) . If that doesn't help by the end of the day, try stool softeners and fiber or fiber supplements...if that still doesn't work..the next step, and only if you are getting desperate, is over the counter laxitives or Castor oil (do not drink a lot of this, only 1-2 teaspoons should be more than enough, trust me)...if none of this works.. see the doc again, tell him everything you've tried, and get ready for some colon hydrotherapy.

your probably not a hypchondirac unless you CONSTANTLY feel like you are sick, or are worried about getting sick. The few true hypchodriacs I have treated...were really and truly worried about being sick, that every little bodily function was a symptom to a horrible disease. usually they would come to me with some outlandish and extremely rare disease or disorder, and swear to god that they had every symptom for it, and beg me to tell them that they were right...the first one I remember was right after I became a corpsman and, I was still "green"..unsure of myself and my diagnosis (I was constantly asking my doc, and the civilian RNs in my clinic about stuff)... this one guy was saying all this stuff...and he had all these symptoms..and he had read on the internet...man he was a piece of work. I can't go into detail about him, for privacy purposes, but after hours of tests..we finally found out there was absolutely nothing wrong with him..physically atleast. I did peruse his medical records after the fact (were not supposed to look at medical history during screening lest we judge him instead of taking him serious..big time no no.), he had been in the clinic 3 other times in the past 2 years with similar cases..outlandish disease, scared to death that he had it...That is true hypochondria.
The rest of the people that come into my clinic for treatment for something they don't really have, are malingerers...and we get quite a few of them. I hate those the worst..trying to get out of work by faking ill...of course then, to play my own devil's advocate, if some commands would care a little more about their people and not the work they can do, then they probably wouldn't feel the need to fake sick or hurt to get a little time off.

well anyway, good luck. I hope things turn out all right in the end...get it...

The Stethoscope

Can you please answer, no rude comments please?

Im just wondering if you can hear the baby move around in your stomach with a stethoscope?
Im 19 weeks and 4 days and for about a week now when i listen i hear water and gushes of what seems like air, just going around my belly. I tried different spots around my stomachand i hear the same thing all around. And no i dont eat before i listen, or drink anything. I do it in the morning and late at night.
Is it possible to be hearing this?

Yes you can! You should be getting around the time to be able to hear the heart beat too! I tried with my 2 pregnancies but never could get the heart beat. I also listened with a stethoscope. Especially late at night. You can hear a whooshing noise too and that is your blood and the amnio fluid all moving around in there. Cool huh?
