Physical Therapist Stethoscope

I dont have too much physical stamina, nd i m thinking of a career in occupational therapy. Is it right for me?

I m intrested in the career in occupational therapy. but I m a girl and not really strong by having a physical stamina. I have heard that we have to lift up the patient from a wheel chair and make them sit somewhere else by lifting them up. I am scared whether or not i would be able to do this or not.? lifting people up? Also, if you guys know does occupational therapists uses stethoscope or not? I can do this with children lifting them up but scared with older or adult? they might be so heavy...oh god! i don't know what should I do. Please help me guys...god bless you.

Besides "hearing" about things, it is definitely better for you to go see it yourself. Take some time out of your day to check out some clinics that offer occupational therapy.
My brother does occupational therapy and honestly, his therapist is not fit at all. There are tools to help you move patients and aid them in their therapy. I think it's a great career and I too am thinking about it. It requires you to be active and hardworking.

DOCTORS ARE NOT GODS PART TWO

physical and dance therapists?

do physical and dance therapists have to use a stethoscope? is there a website where it talks about what a dance and physical therapist do?

I don’t think either use stethoscopes. Maybe PTs do, but I don’t think very often.

Info about Physical Therapy: http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos080.htm

I couldn’t find dance therapy specifically, but I think Recreational Therapy entails music, art, and dance:
