Stethoscope Baby Heartbeat
why cant i hear my baby's heartbeat using a stethoscope?
one of my friends had one and i tried hearing my babys heartbeat but couldnt =/ and now i am soo worried. i am 27 weeks. should i have been able to hear it?

also my baby isnt very active. there are days when hes kicking ALOT! but lately it hasnt been as active..i mean i feel it move everyday but not as much.

You probably just aren't listening in the right spot. Also some stethoscopes are not that great, especially when you are trying to listen through a thick muscle. You have to find the baby's back and listen there, because if you listen anywhere else the baby will be curled up and you won't be able to get even close to where the heart is to hear anything.

Is it possible to hear our baby's heartbeat at 21 weeks with a stethoscope?
I was just curious if it was possible to hear the heartbeat at this stage without doppler? I know at some point you can, but I couldn't remember if it was 21 weeks or later.
OH!!! I am so excited! I can't wait for my husband to get home so we can try and listen! This is our first! 
Yep, I picked up my second daughter with my sethoscope at 19 weeks. What's really neat is if you listen on your side as you progress you can eventually hear your placental pulse as well.
