Which is more reliable: a digital blood pressure monitor or a classic one that you must use with a stethoscope?
There are a number of blood pressure devices out there and I have used many. Except for an invasive procedure that involves inserting a device in a peripheral ( near the surface) artery, nothing is more accurate that the old-fashioned cuff and stethoscope.

Listening to stomach growls?
Last week i went to radio shack with my friend, and while we were there, i saw this digital olympus audio recorder for like $35, so i bought it.
About an hour ago, i was messing around with it, and i had an idea. I had just eaten dinner (Steak and mashed), so i thought it would be kind of cool to see if it would pick up my stomach making noises. I pressed the thing against my belly, and when i played the thing back, i could hear all of the food getting sloshed around...like even better than you could with a stethoscope.
So anyway, i have been sitting here mezmorized by doing this, and i think it's kinda cool.
That is dead cool, I've tried this but without much luck
I don't know the answer to your question, but I have had several leaking pipes under the slab on my 40 year old house. I used a mechanics stethoscope to determine which pipe was leaking by comparing volume when I listened to various pipes in various locations. I would think a mechanics stethoscope would be better since it has a probe and if you know the approximate location of the water line, and don't get any sound from inserting the probe into the surface you can drive a rod into the ground and go deeper. From what I read on a web site advertising an electronic leak detector ( ) the sound can travel a substantial distance depending on the pipe material and soil. Hope you find it. Good Luck…
