Fetal Stethoscope
Fetal monitors?
I've heard they work and then I've heard they don't work. I bought one last night and I'm 23 weeks along. I put the monitor right where my little guy was moving but got nothing! Is there a certain brand that has worked for you guys? I've also heard that stethoscopes work as well, how far along do you need to be to use one? And where can I pick one up? Thanks!
Mine never worked (I paid about $50.00 for mine). But if you buy the high dollar ones they are supposed to. My Dr. Did say that I would not be able to hear the heart beat until I was about 28 weeks.

How early can you hear a fetal heartbeat with a regular stethoscope (not doppler)?
I'm thinking about buying a regular stethoscope or a fetal stethoscope and wanted to know if anyone else has done so while pregnant and how early they were able to hear the baby's heartbeat, at home.
about 20 weeks..and dont buy a fetal stethoscope ..i have read lots of websites about them and they are not even worth buying..i know you said not a doppler but at walmart there is a doppler (no ultrasound gel needed) made by bebe sounds... i got one for this past xmas and it works great and i havent tried on my stethoscope so i couldnt tell u about that ..with the doppler i got i could hear at 18 weeks...good luck and congrats
