Brown Stethoscope
3.5 months old/ post colic/gas/reflux/won't sleep?
Still learning how to use the site...thanks for all of your respnoses. I went to my pediatrician today b/c Jacob has thrush again and she said (after listenening to his belly via stethoscope) that "it's like an ocean in there!" and recomended a GastroInterologist. Mylocone drops didn't work for him (at least 2 wks ago, perhaps I should try again in a while). We stopped swaddling around 6wks of age (he got too strong), but his arms do bother him, though he sucks on his fingers, they keep him up not soothe him (as he "picks" at his face/ears). I did try nursing at night, but here is what happens: He wakes up to eat, I nurse (he eats a bit), falls back asleep, but keeps turning his head side to side and letting out little burps, so I pick him up to burp (x 15min), then lay him back down he sleeps for 30min-1hr, then awake again --turning his head and drawing his legs to his tummy, eventually wakes up...this cycles...We tried Dr Brown bottles-same thing, he gulps air, esp at night.
I agree with the elevation. We set three books the posts of two of our son's crib so that it was elevated a bit. That seemed to help some. We also swaddled until he was about 4 months old. He too was able to get out of many blankets, but we bought some special swaddling blankets and they worked better. We sometimes let him fall asleep in his swing, then transfered him to the bed which helped. This is a trying time, but hang in there. It will get better!

asthma which is unexplained?!?
i went to the doctors and he checked me with his stethoscope then he gave me a brown inhaler and i am guessing i have asthma..could someone give me more info on asthma??
he did'nt say it was asthma i just told him my symtoms like wheezing and shortness of breath
There are many respiratory diseases and disorders that use inhalers for treatment. You could have any of them. You need more information about what is going on. Call your doctors office and ask a nurse or the doctor what the diagnosis is. Then you can research the disease and treatments.
