Health Care Administration

Do you have to use Microsoft Excel a lot in health care administration jobs?
I am almost done w/my associates in health care administration and am in an independent study in microsoft excel/spreadsheets and i feel like i don't have a good handle on how to use excel and it makes me nervous.
There may or not be expectations, but not always from scratch. It all depends on the job responsibilities. If you apply for a fiscal related job such as payroll, accounts receivable, etc.then the expectations will increase. Most employers don't expect you to be a spreadsheet genius from the start. The job you describe is likely to require that you enter data/delete data, etc. Once you start using excel with real time data it's amazing how quickly you will pick it up. In addition, there will almost always be somebody around to ask for help if you get stuck. Good luck!

Principles of Long-Term Health Care Administration $476.64 Not how to stay in a management position for a long time, but a study guide to help nurses who are training to be administrators in long-term health care pass the National Association of Boards of Examiners licensing examination. Attorney and health-care administration educator Buttaro, with editorial help from his wife, organizes the text according to the five domains of practice established by the licensure: resident care, personnel, financial, environmental, and governance and management. In simple language he explains some of the complexities such as Medicare and Medicaid requirements relating to the physical plant and resident care. He includes topic-specific glossaries but does not indicate pronunciation. He says the work has been used for 25 years, but provides no information about earlier editions. Annotation c. What should I get my undergrad degree in if I want to get my Masters in Health Care Administration?
My school doesn't have a bachelors program in Health care Administration, so I am a little lost on what to major in. I was thinking about Health Promotion and Education but I'm not sure if that would be a good choice. Any advice? Thanks!
Wow already thinking ahead to your masters that's good i like your passion.
How about biomedical science, or Prosthetics and Orthotics,

You can twist the wording any way you choose, but the only way the Government decides medical matters is by limiting overall funding for all health care. The doctors still prioritize and choose what medical procedures are done and how resources get prioritized. You will *never* get some “state employed actuarial staff” telling the doctors to not do a procedure because they won’t pay for it, which invalidates your anti-Government paranoia approach. And thank you for making my point for me when it comes to relative cost for society of a health care system. In a single-payer system, hospitals operate at a 0% profit margin and health care administration operates at a 0% profit margin. The administrative cost for it all equates to a few percent of all tax funds funneled into the system.
