ttc had to see a nurse and a doctor today, very confused please help.?
so sunday i started having some pains in my lower abdomen and lower back it felt as though i had been working out, monday i started bleeding very very red blood havent been feeling myself at all, didnt feel like my period in the slightest still had the same pains as i did on sunday and was feeling very worn out, went to a walk in center and the nurse was worried it could be an eptopic pregnancy she did a urnie test which showed negative for hcg but said it could be to early to tell so she sent me to an emergency doctors, the doctors told me he couldnt send me for scan because i hadn't had a positive test yet and the hospital guidelines say i need one before they will scan me, so i have been sent home still in a bit of pain however the bleeding appears to have completely stopped, anyone got any ideas what could be going on i know your are not doctors just wanted your opinions and views and this is all very scary and confusing for me, has anyone had anything like this happen before??
I would make an appointment with an OBGYN specialist. The Emergency doctor was on crack when he told you that you need a positive test. If you DID have an ectopic, there's a high chance you would not get a positive urine test. H he should know that! Sure they have their rules blah blah, but so and see a specialist if you are still feeling pains. I agree that it could be a cyst; I had one and it hurt like hell and then got passed in my next period. Gone!

hi... my throat has been hurting me for the last few days and i didn't think anything of it. but, when i looked down my throat with a flashlight, i saw a big red rash above my tonsils. a day later the rash is noticabley larger. does this mean i have strep throat?? the doctors are closed on sundays and i have a busy week ahead! help =( ( i think the rash is also a little on the little red dangley thing, which i learned isn't your actualu tonsil)
i dont know if its actually called a rash, but its made up of alot of little bright red dots.... =(
Usually a person who has strep throat has severe throat pain, the throat is very red, swollen and has white spots on the tonsils and usually a fever and bad breath. your tongue resembles the skin of a strawberry. What you describe sounds like sinus drainage or allergies. Should you ignore this? NO. There are throat swabs that test for strep and takes about 2 minutes, at the urgent care center or doctor office. Is this an emergency, No. However, if you start having difficulty breathing and swallowing and you want to drool because you cannot swallow, go to the ER. You can gargle with warm salt water to help with the pain and take Tylenol or Motrin if you are not allergic to them. GOOD Luck.
